Field Studies - Burkina Faso

In 2008, I travelled to Mali to present a paper at the Terra Conference in Bamoko and grabbed the opportunity to spend 5 wonderful days in neighbouring Burkina Faso, where 100km from mains electricity and tarmac roads, lies the World Heritage Site of Tiebele whose women sustain their traditional craft of iconographic decoration in clay and natural minerals.
